Position: Housing Property Administrator
Location: Toronto, ON

Job Type: Full-time (32.5 hours/week)
Compensation: $22 - $25 per hour
Work Period: Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the General Manager of BuilTop Property Management, the Housing Property
Administrator will be assigned to a co-operative site to provide day-to-day services to the co-operative’s
members and its board of directors.
Duties will include:
- Managing the co-op’s finances.
- Developing and implementing an overall property maintenance and repair program.
- Ensuring that the co-op meets its legal obligations.
- Developing and implementing a strategy to maintain full occupancy of the co-op.
- Supporting good governance in the co-op by the board and membership.
- Supervision of other co-op staff and contractors.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 2 – 3 years property management experience or equivalent experience.
- Financially literate with strong property management skills.
- Knowledge of co-op housing governance and building maintenance.
- Knowledge about federally funded co-operatives and the laws that apply to housing co-ops.
- Experience managing and supervising staff/contractors.
- Experience working with volunteers and a board of directors.
- Effective English oral and written communication skills.
- Able to work effectively within a diverse community.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Able to work independently.
- Experience liaising with the Agency for Co-op Housing, CMHC, CHF Canada and CHFT as necessary.
*Some travel and evening work will be required.
